2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect personal data directly from you in the following situations:
- Contact form submissions:name, email address, phone number, the service you're enquiring about, and your message.
- Job applications: name, email address, phone number, your CV/resume file, and any cover note you provide.
- Client and prospect records: if you engage us as a client or prospective client, we hold organization and contact details, service history, and project or billing information necessary to deliver and invoice our services.
- Project tracking:if we're delivering a project for you, a project reference code lets you check status without an account — this does not require or collect any additional personal data beyond what we already hold for the engagement.
- Automatically, via cookies and similar technology: standard web analytics (pages visited, general location and device type) through Google Analytics, and your IP address, held briefly and only to prevent abuse of our contact form (see §6).
3. Why We Process Your Data
We only process personal data for specific, legitimate purposes, namely to:
- Respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form;
- Review and respond to job applications;
- Deliver, manage, and invoice the services you've engaged us for;
- Maintain accurate business records as required by law;
- Understand how our website is used, so we can improve it; and
- Protect our website and systems from abuse (e.g. spam, automated submissions).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those stated here without asking you first.
4. Legal Basis and Consent
In line with Act 843, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, submitting the contact or job application form), the necessity of processing to perform a contract with you (for client engagements), or our legitimate business interests (such as basic website analytics and abuse prevention), balanced against your rights.
5. Who We Share Data With
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate this website and our internal systems. Each only receives the data necessary to perform its function on our behalf:
- Formspree — delivers contact form submissions to us by email.
- Supabase — hosts our client, project, and job applicant database and secure file storage (e.g. uploaded CVs).
- Resend — sends transactional emails such as invoices.
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Google Analytics — provides aggregate website usage statistics.
- Telegram — delivers internal operational notifications (e.g. a new enquiry arrived) to our team; it does not receive your data for any other purpose.
We do not share your personal data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose data where required by Ghanaian law or a valid order of a competent authority.
6. International Data Transfers
Some of the service providers listed above process data on servers located outside Ghana. Act 843 restricts transferring personal data outside Ghana unless the recipient country or organization ensures an adequate level of data protection, or another condition under the Act is met — including your consent to the transfer, or the transfer being necessary to perform a contract with you. By using our contact form, applying for a role, or engaging us as a client, you consent to this limited, necessary transfer.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected: enquiry and application data is generally retained for up to 24 months in case we want to follow up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner; client and financial records are retained for as long as our legal and tax obligations require; and rate-limiting data used to prevent form abuse is held in memory for a matter of minutes only, not stored long-term.
8. How We Protect Your Data
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls restricting our systems to authorized staff only, and role-based permissions so staff only see the data relevant to their work.
9. Your Rights Under Act 843
As a data subject under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:
- Be informed of what personal data we hold about you and why;
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Request that inaccurate or outdated data be corrected;
- Request that we stop processing, block, erase, or destroy your data, subject to any legal or contractual reason we may need to retain it;
- Object to your data being processed for direct marketing at any time;
- Withdraw consent you previously gave us, where processing is based on consent; and
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission if you believe we have mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at connect@rdenterpriseconsult.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and at no cost, except where a request is manifestly excessive or repetitive.
10. Cookies
This site uses cookies from Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior (e.g. which pages are popular). These cookies do not identify you personally. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so will not affect your ability to use this website.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed at businesses and organizations, not individual consumers, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
